In 1957 the following was signed European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR).

This declaration regulated many issues related to the carriage of ADR goods, including ADR classes or safety rules for the carriage of this type of goods. It is important that a new version of the agreement comes out every 2 years. This is due to the fact that the chemical industry produces new dangerous goods all the time. Consequently, rules for their transport need to be defined.
